Como ler sua receita

Esfera (SPH)

Isto indica a força do poder da lente, medida em Dioptrias (D). Mais tipicamente isto é escrito em incrementos de ¼ de dioptria (IE 0,25, 0,50, 0,75, 1,00). Este valor é a quantidade prescrita de correção para Miopia ( Miopia ) ou Hipermetropia ( Hipermetropia ) . Se o número que aparece sob este título tiver um sinal de menos ( – ), você é míope ; se o número tiver um sinal de mais ( + ) ou nenhum sinal, você é hipermetrope . Se não houver correção esférica, pode ser escrito como 0,00 ou Plano (PL).

Cilindro (CYL)

Isto indica a força do poder da lente para corrigir o Astigmatismo. Se nada aparecer nesta coluna, o valor é 0 ou "SPH" está escrito, indica que não há astigmatismo.

Os optometristas geralmente escrevem a correção astigmática com um sinal de menos (-). O oftalmologista costuma escrever o valor com um sinal de mais (+). Estes representam duas maneiras diferentes de determinar a correção.
